Everyone knows about the infamous Vlad Tepes, also known as Vlad the Impaler or Count Dracula, ruler of Wallachia and feared for his bloodlust. His name echoed through out Romania with a reputation of torturing and killing his enemies on the most gruesome ways.

But apparently he wasn’t the only thing to worry about at the time. Aliens and UFOs were also paying visits and were even stamped on paintings. There is this one painting in the Monastery Church in Sighisoara, Transylvania, that depicts a gigantic flying saucer hovering above a big building. Nobody knows when it was painted and who the artist was, although believed to date back much before the 16th century. This is one of many medieval paintings illustrating a detailed UFO floating in the background.

There were several accounts of UFO and extraterrestrial sightings in Romania and most of these reports can be found the book “UFOs over Romania”, by academic and UFO researcher Dan D. Farcas. Watch the following video to learn more!
